UK Spouse Visa

Known as the UK Marriage Visa, Spouse Visa allows married partners of UK citizens to immigrate to the UK because they are married to someone who is “living in the UK” – Generally without UK immigration restrictions.

Requirements

To qualify for a UK spouse/marriage visa you must meet the following requirements:

You and your spouse must be Eighteen years of age or older.
You must have met each other and been legally married - this is to prevent a marital marriage.
You should be able to live together permanently.
You must have enough money to support (and no dependents) without claiming public money.
Your sponsoring partner must earn more than £ 1,600 per year or have enough savings to sponsor. If they are sponsoring dependent children then the minimum financial requirement is higher.
You must have suitable accommodation for your spouse and any dependents.
You must meet the English language requirements.
